Texas Air National Guard pilot safe after F-16 crash in Michigan

149th Fighter Wing Public Affairs

 

ALPENA, Michigan – A Texas Air National Guard F-16 Fighting Falcon assigned to the 149th Fighter Wing, JBSA-Lackland, Texas, crashed during a routine training mission from the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center earlier this afternoon near Traverse City, Michigan.

The pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft. The incident is under investigation. Additional information to be released as it becomes available.
