To whom it is awarded: the SGAUS Professional Development Ribbon may be awarded to an active SGAUS member who has successfully fulfilled one of the following requirements:
A. Successfully completed Primary (Warrior) Leader Course (PLC) through the SGAUS PME Academy as an E1 or above, OR
B. Successfully completed Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) through the SGAUS PME Academy as a WO1 or above, OR
C. Successfully completed Officer Basic Course (OBC) through the SGAUS PME Academy as an O1 or above.
Award recommendations May be submitted directly to the Awards Committee for review. The recommendations of the Awards Committee will be presented to the approving authority for its decision Succeeding awards:
A. Second Award - A centered numeral “2” device is worn to represent an active SGAUS member’s successful completion of:
i. E1 or above:PLC and Advanced Leader Course (ALC) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
ii. WO1 or above: WOBC and Warrant Officer Advanced Course (WOAC) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
iii. O1 or above: OBC and Officer Advanced Course (OAC) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
B. Third Award - A centered numeral “3” device is worn to represent an active SGAUS member’s successful completion of:
i. E1or above:PLC,ALC,andSeniorLeaderCourse(SLC)through the SGAUS PME Academy.
ii. WO1 or above: WOBC, WOAC, and Warrant Officer Staff Course (WOSC) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
iii. O1 or above: OBC, OAC, and Command and Staff Course Phase I (CAS1) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
C. Fourth Award - A centered numeral “4” device is worn to represent an active SGAUS member’s successful completion of:
i. E1 or above: PLC, ALC, SLC, and Command Sergeant Major Course (CSMC) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
ii. O1 or above: OBC, OAC, CAS1, and Command and Staff Course Phase II (CAS2) through the SGAUS PME Academy.
D. Recipients will wear the ribbon with no more than one (1) numeral device affixed. The specific numeral device worn (i.e. either a 2, 3, or 4) will represent the highest course level corresponding to their current grade that the recipient has completed to-date through the SGAUS PME Academy. Wear of a numeral “1” device is not authorized.
Approving authority: The approving authority for this award is the SGAUS Executive Committee.
