Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

The GMAT measures general verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing skills and abilities developed over a long period of time that are associated with success in the first year of study in a graduate school of management. 

GMAT Test Preparation

Upon GMAT registration, examinees may download a free version of the GMATPrep software at http://www.mba.com/.  Commercial software and GMAT Prep courses are also available for purchase online and in urban areas.

GMAT Reimbursement

Texas Army National Guard Soldiers are authorized reimbursement for one GMAT exam.  To receive your reimbursement, fill out the GMAT REIMBURSEMENT FORM once you have received your GMAT Score Report (online or via e-mail). Upon completion, e-mail the GMAT Reimbursement Form and a copy of your score report to ng.tx.txarng.list.education-office@army.mil.  The Dantes TCO will complete and sign the "Dantes Official" block in Section IV and return it to you .  Submit the completed form, with a legible copy of the official GMAT Score Report, no later than 90 days after the scheduled test date to the address on the form. 

Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

GRE test scores provide graduate and business schools around the world with an objective and common measure for evaluating and comparing the qualifications of applicants with differing educational and cultural backgrounds. GRE scores are used by admissions and fellowship panels to supplement undergraduate records, including grades and recommendations, and other qualifications for graduate-level study.

GRE Test Preparation

In preparation of the GRE, registrants are advised to download the free GRE POWERPREP software available at http://www.ets.org/gre/greprep. Commercial software and GRE Prep courses are also available for purchase online and in urban areas. 

GRE Reimbursement

TXARNG Soldiers are authorized reimbursement for one GRE exam.  To receive your reimbursement, fill out the GRE Reimbursement Form once you have received your General Score Report (the student score report issued after testing is not valid for reimbursement). Upon completion, e-mail the GRE Reimbursement Form and a copy of your score report to ng.tx.txarng.list.education-office@army.mil.  The Dantes TCO will complete and sign the "Dantes Official" block in Section IV and return it to you. Submit the completed form, with a legible copy of the official GRE General Score Report, no later than 90 days after the scheduled test date to the address on the form.
