There are a ton of great resources available for military families, but it can sometimes be a challenge to cut through the clutter and find the gems.  As a result, we've compiled a list of resources you can take advantage of right now. 

Educational Counseling: Do you need help getting started on your educational goals? Or, do you have a plan in place that you would like to get a second opinion on? Our guidance counselors are available to explain the educational process, help Soldiers and their families understand their educational benefits and provide guidance on a number of topics. Tutoring:  Children, spouses and Soldiers have access to free one-on-one online tutoring resources.  Available 24/7, www.tutor.com provides homework help, test prep, college entrance exam assistance and online tutoring in more than 16 subjects.

In-State Tuition Rates: Texas Army National Guard Soldiers, their children and spouses are eligible for in-state tuition rates regardless of the length of time the Soldier has resided in TX. Texas Education Code - Section 54.058.00 explains the law in detail. 

Free Clep Exams for Spouses:  Spouses may test at authorized testing facilities for free with a valid DoD military ID card. To learn more about Clep exams, click the above Testing tab > Clep & Dantes Examinations by Credit.

Scholarship Programs of the Fisher House Foundation offers multiple scholarships for Soldiers, spouses and children with various award amounts and application deadlines.
