Cynthia M. Reyes is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience in the counseling field. Mrs. Reyes obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from Park University in 2003 and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Webster University in 2008. She is credentialed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Mrs. Reyes has provided counseling services in a various setting and populations to include: Chronic Pain Management, Adult Probation, Behavioral Health Treatment facilities and Private Practice.
Cynthia M. Reyes has been part of the Texas Military Department Mental Health Counseling Program since 2015. Mrs. Reyes’s experience in working with service members and their families has provided her the opportunity to assist, guide and witness their challenges, trials, growth and healing. Mrs. Reyes utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, EMDR, teaches coping skills, breathing techniques, relaxation and self-care to the clients under her care.
Mrs. Reyes’s philosophy is to be available to the client, assist in their presenting problem(s) with empathy, being non-judgemental, creating the client with respect and dignity regardless of the circumstance and striving for positive outcomes.
Cynthia M. Reyes enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends on her leisure time, especially with her 4 year old granddaughter and her 2 year-old grandson. She uses self-care to include: practicing good nutrition, working out at the gym, movies, traveling and reading.
