Command Chief Master Sergeant Rose Maxie is the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Texas Air National Guard, Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas. She serves as the principal enlisted advisor to the Deputy Adjutant General – Air for more than 3,000 enlisted personnel. Her responsibilities include advising the Deputy Adjutant General on all matters influencing the mission readiness, professional development, proper utilization, health, morale and welfare of the State’s enlisted Airmen and their families.
CMSgt Maxie enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard in March 2001 into the 269th Combat Communications Squadron as a telephone systems maintainer and graduated technical school training in January 2002. During this assignment, she deployed in support of Hurricane Katrina relieve efforts and held multiple leadership positions throughout the organization and then transitioned to the Unit Training Manager in May 2007. In November 2010, CMSgt Maxie transferred to the Texas Air National Guard as a Client Systems Craftsman. She then deployed in support of Operation FREEDOM’S SENTINEL as the Air Force Central Command Engineering Installation project manager. In 2018, she worked in parallel as the 272d Senior Enlisted Leader and Project Manager responsible for long-range cyberspace planning, policy and guidance throughout the Department of Defense. CMSgt Maxie was selected to be a critical member for an inaugural talent management initiative, optimizing the talent within the Texas Air National Guard to eliminate key-leadership vacancies and provide real-time opportunities for Airmen.
CMSgt Maxie has a diverse civilian professional background ranging from corporate management, education, non-profit and business consulting, serving as a mentor and advisor on professional development and training for multiple organizations. Prior to her current position, she was the Command Chief for the 147th Attack Wing, Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, Houston, Texas.
