Visitor Process

Step-by-Step

All civilian visitors must complete the vetting process at the Visitor Control Center before being authorized to enter Camp Mabry.

How It Works

  1. Arrive at the 35th Street Gate between 0700 and 1500 hours and notify the security officer you are visiting an approved area.
  2. Present a REAL ID or U.S. Passport and be prepared to provide your vehicle type, color, and license plate number.
  3. Follow instructions from security personnel to park at the Visitor Center and proceed inside.
  4. Complete the required paperwork and allow time for screening.
  5. The Visitor Control Center will issue a visitor pass or denial based on the results of the background check.
  6. If access is denied, security personnel will escort you off the installation.

Potential Reasons for Denied Access

  • Active warrants
  • Recent felony convictions
  • Drug offenses (generally within the last 5 years)
  • Registered sex offender status
  • History of violent crime or gang affiliation
  • Active barment from any U.S. military installation
