Media wishing to cover the tree lighting ceremony are invited to do so on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. and must arrive no later than 10:40 a.m. to allow for parking and coordination.
Members of the media are required to RSVP no later than Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 with the State Public Affairs office at (o) 512-782-5620; email: ng.tx.txarng.mbx.pao@mail.mil.
Camp Mabry is accessed at the Maintenance Drive gate from 35th Street. Media will be required to show credentials at the gate.

Camp Mabry hosts annual holiday tree lighting
AUSTIN, Texas (Dec. 6, 2017) – The Texas Military Department will host its annual holiday tree lighting at Camp Mabry, in Austin, Texas, Dec. 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. The event welcomes TMD employees, families and members of the community to celebrate the holiday season.
Texas Adjutant General John F. Nichols will deliver remarks before the tree lighting. In addition, the Texas Army National Guard’s 36th Infantry Division Band will perform a series of holiday carols.
