BG Joshlin Lewis

 

 

Brig. Gen. Joshlin D. Lewis serves as the Special Assistant to The Adjutant General, Headquarters Texas Air National Guard, Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas. He is responsible for strategic development and synchronizing the efforts of over 3,000 Texas Airmen at three operational wings in support of the Deputy Adjutant General-Air of Texas.
General Lewis was commissioned in 1999 as a graduate of Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base after graduating from Lamar University. After serving eight years on active duty at multiple locations in the United States and overseas, he transferred to the Texas Air National Guard in 2007. He has held operational, support, and staff positions in both deployed and garrison locations at the squadron, group, wing, Numbered Air Force, and major command levels. A career cyber operations officer, he was part of the formation of the Air Force’s enterprise network defense efforts at both Barksdale AFB and Lackland AFB. Prior to his current assignment, General Lewis was the Deputy Commander of the 136th Airlift Wing during their transition from C-130H to C-130J airframes.
